I was so pleasantly surprised by Pies & Such. I am working in Bartlesville temporarily and took it as a chance to try some local food. The restaurant is simple and straightforward; sandwiches, salads, specials, and pies. Specials and pies are up on the board. The service was quick and efficient (I had my lunch and a drink in less than 10 minutes of walking in) and the vibe is clean and nostalgic.
I ordered a turkey, bacon, and lettuce sandwich. The sandwich was amazing. The bread is freshly made in house, lightly grilled, and to die for. It was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. No frills, no nonsense, just quality. The bacon was perfectly crispy. I forgot to order cheese on my sandwich, but I didn't even miss it because the other ingredients were so quality. Then, I got a slice of the berry patch pie to go. I am not a lover of pie typically, but despite that, the pie was really great! Excellent balance of tang and sweetness from the berries with an oh so flakey crust.
EXCELLENT quick lunch spot. I will absolutely eat there again. -

Love their home cooking! Always fresh and yummy whether I'm eating salad, soup, sandwich, or pie. A hidden gem in downtown Bville!!

Food was very good. We had sandwiches and soup. The bread is thick and is probably made fresh. Service wasn't speedy but was fine. The highlight of the trip was the pie - we had chocolate peanut butter and strawberry rhubarb.
The table hadn't been wiped down recently - it was kind of sticky and has crumbs from recent diners. That is something they can improve on, but overall it was good and we would come again. -

It's been 4 years since I've interned in Bartlesville, OK, and I still dream about this place. Oh Pies & Such...
It's a classic mom and pop restaurant downtown (I believe the daughter is even the lone waitress there). The menu is modest but it seems like they make everything from scratch, including the sandwich bread. And the pies... oh the pies. I didn't like fruit pie before I came to the restaurant but have since been a convert thanks to their strawberry rhubarb pie.
Sometimes I daydream about taking a vacation from New York to visit Bartlesville and once again have lunch at Pies & Such. It's really that good. -

The name alone, Pies & Such, makes me feel warm and fuzzy. I expected the food to be good and it was. The menu is small, but there are daily specials and the pie list is extensive. I had meatloaf which was moist and didn't need any extra sauce (ketchup). The Berry Patch pie was sweet and down home. Pies & Such is cash/check only, so I had to run to the bank after I ate! I'm glad they're trusting in B-ville. I'll admit that part of me wanted Pies & Such to fall flat so I could say, "If they called it Pies & Suck my expectations may have been tempered."
